Brief Profile : An economist by training, I strive to conduct innovative research on environmental sustainability and governance, particularly on federal politics and institutions. With over five years of experience in leading policy think tanks in India, I consciously engage with critical and problem-driven research. I use a transdisciplinary political ecology approach in my enquiries. The normative goal of my work is building democratic, inclusive and dynamic processes in environmental governance in democratic and diverse nations. In my current role as a researcher with the Ministry of Water Resources, Government of India Research Chair at the Centre for Policy Research, I focus on the political, institutional and financial aspects of federal water governance in India.
